PHBench is a research project and launch simulator run by Vela Partners. This page describes exactly what we collect, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it. It is written to match what the software actually does rather than to cover every eventuality.
We do not collect payment details. We do not sell anything to anyone, and we do not run advertising trackers.
This is the part worth reading closely, because the simulator sends what you write to other companies in order to work:
If your launch is confidential, keep the sensitive parts out of the simulator. It is a rank estimator, and it works fine on a general description.
When you tell us your hunter or makers, we send those names to the services above to resolve them to Product Hunt accounts, and we store the result alongside your launch. We only ever read publicly available profile data, chiefly follower counts. Please do not enter private information about other people.
Account data for as long as you have an account. Simulator conversations for up to 24 months, after which we may delete them or strip them of anything identifying and keep only aggregate statistics for research. Newsletter emails until you unsubscribe.
Email hello@phbench.com and we will delete your account and everything attached to it. No forms, no retention department. Unsubscribing from the newsletter is a link at the bottom of every issue.
One cookie, set by Supabase, to keep you signed in. Your draft launch is kept in your browser’s local storage so a refresh does not lose it. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner.
PHBench publishes academic research on Product Hunt launch data. That research uses public Product Hunt data, not your simulator conversations. If we ever want to publish anything derived from user activity it will be aggregate and non-identifying.
If this page changes materially we will update the date at the top. Questions to hello@phbench.com.
